New offering: a 'pay as you go' monthly Zoom Dare to Blossom Circle

So, I am sharing this new offering at the top of the newsletter today, as the first event is at the beginning of the month: I have been asked to set up a 'light touch' circle - one where there is no commitment to a regular private group as with my in-depth circles. Of course people receive big insights from those, and - it is not always the time to do that in practical terms. Also, many people, especially those of you who subscribe to my monthly newsletter, do not wish to be involved in groups on Facebook.

This is simply a monthly Zoom gathering, an invitation to a 'pay as you go' monthly circle on Friday mornings at 11.00 am UK time. The fee is £20. As well as taking part, you will receive a photo of the cards I draw for you, and a recording of the call (only sent to those  who are present live). Full details and booking are here, Or simply contact me by replying to this email if you prefer. You can book in advance, or choose to receive an invoice after the event, I will leave that up to you, and trust that if you enjoy the experience you will be happy to offer that in exchange for the love and energy I put into creating the Circle for you.

If it is popular, I hope that a group will gather who would like to meet every month, and I will set up a subscription with a discount for 2021. I have a provisional date of Friday 4th December at 11.00 am UK time for a second meet-up.

This will be a chance to gather, as if sitting chatting in a beautiful garden, and simply share some time together. We will use the processes that are familiar to many of you, the Compass Rose Speaks opening and closing meditation, the Dare to Blossom Rediscovery Cards and the Magic Carpet Ride guided visualisation, to explore whatever is arising for us on that day. If you are thinking 'I am not familiar with those...' and would like to know more, please contact me. We can always chat on Zoom over a cuppa - and that is a chance to set up that service if it is new to you.

Reflections: Autumn and Rebirth

One of those titles, 'Autumn and Aging', from November 2013, prompted me to go back and read my own words. I considered including the whole article here as I sometimes do.

And yet, I am now looking at this from a different perspective. Many of you reading this are in parts of the world where November is spring, moving into summer. This time last year I was preparing to travel to New Zealand myself - and how grateful I am now that I made that visit while I could, not knowing what the future held, that a global pandemic was on the way.

I feel now that both autumn and spring are times of rebirth. Here in Cornwall, the new flower buds are already forming on the magnolias and rhododendrons ready to burst into beautiful bloom in early March.

Rebirth happens all around us in nature. In our own lives we so often feel that life has come to an end, especially as we grow older, maybe reaching retirement, maybe leaving work or carrying on. Or like me, being made redundant and expanding my part-time coaching practice into full time.

For me, as I gain more years behind me, bigger numbers in my 'age' every year, I find myself feeling more focused. With more clarity, more passion for what I do, more commitment to the people I work with. I know so many others who feel the same, who feel they are becoming younger in attitude and outlook.

There is so much potential amongst us 'older people'  and together with the young, with all ages, we can change the world. I recently wrote a chapter for a new book published by the 'Bright Future Collective' - Love Letters from the Future. It can be read as fiction - and as a range of suggestions, as inspiration for what could be possible.

So, this month, as a prompt for you journal, you may like to choose a date way ahead, or just a few years hence, and write yourself a love letter from your future self. From a bright future that is so different to the world we find ourselves in today. Have fun, as I did, be as imaginative as you like - who knows, it may come true. And if not, the enjoyment and escape will be a tonic.

Thank you dear friends for visiting with me again this month and sharing my musings.

Until next time,

with love,
Mary
